Sunshine Tots modern cloth nappies were first developed back in December 2006, when my first child was 10 months old. I'd recently started using cloth nappies due to endless issues with disposables on my daughter. As a stay-at-home mum on the Sunshine Coast, I decided to have a go at sewing nappies for my daughter myself. My daughter was immediately in full-time cloth and remained that way until she toilet trained. I had a lot of comments from friends and family that I should sell them to make a little pocket money on the side, so I set about creating a website and building a stash of stock to fill it. Shortly after, I realised that I needed some help and asked my wonderful Mum to join me in this exciting new business venture. Fast forward a few years, past the birth of my second child, 2 big moves, a website change and a whole lot of change with our product range and here we are!

We are a small team that work well together, despite living 100 km away from each other!

Rachael: Co-owner, product designer, customer service, website maintenance, chief cutter, snapper and photographer! Also responsible for fabric and product ordering, order packaging and posting, advertising and blogging! :)

Jeanette: Co-owner, bookkeeper and the most important - chief machinist! Also takes on some cutting, snapping and website maintenance when needed :)

Laressa: Machinist and chief overlocker! Also helps whenever and wherever needed :)
